Hey guys, I'm very excited to bring you this foodie post...we all need to eat..lol. Since it's Hispanic Heritage Month, I want to contribute and show my support for the Latino community by sharing a delicious and easy to make snacks with the help from Nabisco. This bites or merienda..how my Abuelita called it... are Latino inspired recipes which are great to make and share with your familia. It's sort of a cool spin on the traditional meriendas we as Hispanic used to eat.

There are many easy ways you could make meriendas. Nabisco has really knocked it out of the park for us Latinos. If you think about it, you can have fun with all their brands to make delicious snacks. For instance, they have the Oreos which Winston LOVES!!, Chips Ahoy! that are Chanell's favorite, RITZ Crackers and Honey Maid. For this recipe, I chose the RITZ crackers because my family loves Italian-inspired dishes and my Abuelita used to make it for me. Here are the ingredients and steps you need to create the Caprese crackers for your familia!

Here are the ingredients:

  • 12 Ritz crackers
  • 12 2 oz. mozzarella cheese balls
  • 6 fresh basil leaves
  • 6 grape tomatoes, cut into 12 pieces
  • 6 oz. Chive & Onion cream cheese

Instructions:

  1. Place Ritz crackers on plain plate
  2. Apply Cream cheese onto crackers
  3. Cut in half grape tomatoes
  4. Wrapped mozzarella balls with basil leaves
  5. Insert toothpick thru cheese balls and tomatoes
  6. Place cheese balls and tomato on the RITZ crackers
  7. Enjoy...lol

Well mis amores, I hope you all enjoy this delicious treats like Winston and Chanell did. This recipe is perfect for any occasion and is visually enticing to everyone.
