There are some yearly events that one must attend each year. For instance, this Summer had to be the Pinknic party at Governors Island in New York City. As some of you might have recently seen on my Instagram, I had the opportunity to attend this awesome event with Winston on behalf of Carefree® daily liners, and yes, we had a blast!!!
Since Carefree® is a brand I regularly use, I thought it would be a dope idea to show how I got glam up before the event and give you guys a glimpse into my morning routine.
So last Friday, after catching a quick flight from Orlando because I was down there for the influencer conference - BlogHer, I arrived in NYC to attend the Pinknic. Unfortunately, the event was canceled due to rain, and it was later rescheduled for the next day on Sunday.
Here, I would like to take the opportunity to provide you guys with a few tips that can help you put your best foot forward when getting ready to tackle your day, especially when attending an event such as the Pinknic:
- Confidence - I think this is an important thing you can have. For example, Winston wearing a great suit makes him feel like he has an armor. That’s what he says...lol. For us women, it really varies, but to speak for me, I truly like to feel comfortable, not worrying about surprises, primarily feeling good in and out with the right tools like Carefree® daily liners. With panty-like comfort, I never forever to #LinerUp so that I feel fresh and confident all day!
- Glam Up - Try out a new makeup trend. But, ladies don't forget that beauty is in the eye of the beholder so if you wear a ponytail, lipstick and a cute dress you'll also look as beautiful. It’s all about enjoying yourself and living the moment.
- Comfy - Yes, ladies wear something comfy. I first tried to use a "ladylike" skirt with a lovely blouse, but in all honesty, it was just too much. So, I went for a loose cocktail dress in cotton and omg it was so much better.
On Sunday, the Pinknic met all my expectations. Winston and I really enjoyed ourselves at the Carefree® cabana #ThankYou guys. Overall, the Pinknic had the latest tunes, yummy foods from local shops and even a Ferris Wheel.
